The Keswick Agricultural Show was founded in 1860 and is traditionally held on August Bank Holiday Monday in a field on the Western edge of town and features both commercial and charity stands . The Show attracts large numbers of competitors, exhibitors and spectators and is a great day out for all the family. There is a wide range of animal exhibits for judging, including rare breeds of sheep, including classes for Herdwick and Swaledale , also cattle and horse showing and jumping. The Arts and Crafts and Produce sections are exhibited in the main tent and are particularly strong, often attracting over 100 entries. The Keswick Show  features other attractions such as Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling, and Sheep dog trials.

There are also classes for showing working sheep dogs, terriers, fox hound pups and children's pets. Side stalls and refreshments. Licenced bar tent.
