| The Keswick Agricultural Show
was founded in 1860 and is traditionally held on
August Bank Holiday Monday in a field on the Western edge of town and
features both commercial and charity stands . The Show attracts large
numbers of competitors, exhibitors and spectators and is a great day out
for all the family. There is a wide range of animal exhibits for judging,
including rare breeds of sheep, including classes for Herdwick and Swaledale
, also cattle and horse showing and jumping. The Arts and Crafts and Produce
sections are exhibited in the main tent and are particularly strong, often
attracting over 100 entries. The Keswick Show features other
attractions such as Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling, and Sheep dog
trials. There are also classes for showing working sheep dogs, terriers, fox hound pups and children's pets. Side stalls and refreshments. Licenced bar tent. Poultry classes and Vintage machinery Open from 8.30 A.M, Admission Charges:- Show field cars £5.oo |
